Remark book of H.M.S. Vestal (Captain Charles Talbot, Lieutenant Commander Crawford Pasco) January 16th 1844-September 15th 1845. Travelled to New York, Rio de Janeiro, Rio de la Plata, Cape of Good Hope, Tasmania, New South Wales, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Straits of Malacca and Madras. Also on steam frigate Vulture from China to England, 1848. Nautical calculations, a map and newspaper cutting in volume also. Letters, maps and newspaper cuttings.

Crawford Pasco was a naval officer and, later, a police magistrate who helped to organise the water police force at Williamstown. From the description of Papers [manuscript]. 1832-1891.
